Sophie is a first seat Trainee Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing team, having joined Thorntons in September 2024. Prior to joining Thorntons, Sophie gained valuable experience working in her family business, and while working for a small family law firm in Broughty Ferry.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Abertay and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Dundee. Before university Sophie obtained an HNC in Business, adding to her commercial awareness and approach to client challenges.
Away from the office, Sophie is a member of the Board of Governors for WRASAC Dundee, a specialist agency providing free and confidential support services to survivors who have been raped, sexually abused, or sexually exploited.
