Based in our St Andrews office, Ross works with Partner, Rachel Anderson. He acts for individuals, couples, and families on a range of Private Client matters including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Executries (Testate and Intestate) and Inheritance Tax Planning.
Ross adopts a pragmatic approach for his clients and is recognised for his understanding and empathetic nature.
Before joining Thorntons as a Trainee Solicitor, Ross studied for his LLB (Honours) and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Dundee. In 2024 Ross returned to Dundee University to tutor on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.
Ross is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and in 2025 achieved a distinction on their Advanced Certificate in Advising the Family Business. Ross is also a Notary Public.
Outside of work Ross is a board member of the C.A.F.E Project in Arbroath and is Vice Chairman of the Cosmos Community Centre Management Committee in St Andrews.
