Murray Etherington

Murray is the head of our the Private Client department and works with clients across Scotland to help manage their personal affairs and plan for the future. 

He deals with all aspects of general private client work including Executries, Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, Asset Protection and Inheritance Tax Planning.

Murray is an expert in advising elderly clients particularly on Wills, Powers of Attorney and planning for care home fees. He provides talks to the general public and the profession on these very important topics.

Murray is member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is a board member for a number of local charities including Tenovus Dundee, TCCL Lodge and he is the former chairman of Dundee University Students' Association.

Murray is the Law Society of Scotland Council Member for Arbroath, Dundee and Forfar, and is the Chairperson for the Law Society’s Insurance Committee. Murray is a former tutor on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee.  He is also a Notary Public.
