Born and bred in Dundee Kim completed her Law Degree at the University of Edinburgh before returning to Dundee to train with the Firm of Thornton Dickie & Brand (now of course Thorntons), where she worked for a number of years before starting her family. She continued to practice in the City and in the year 2000 started her own firm, Kim Barclay Solicitors. There, as a sole practitioner, she ran her Chamber Practice concentrating largely on residential property. She ran her successful sole practice within the City for 21 years and has helped many local people to acquire and to sell their homes.
Now the firm of Kim Barclay, Solicitors is merging back with Thorntons so Kim is coming back full circle and is happy to do so and to offer her clients the ability to access a fully rounded legal service from Thorntons.
Outwith the office Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a keen walker and reader. She is a member of the Royal Tay Yacht Club and follows Dundee Rugby.
