Dean McCombie

Dean is a first second Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client team. He commenced his Training Contract in September 2024 and completed his first seat in Commercial Real Estate. 

He joined Thorntons in 2019 and has undertaken positions across the firm including, most recently, supervising the Client Welcome team. As a result of these previous roles, Dean has a good understanding that the right advice for each client’s individual needs can make all the difference. 

Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Abertay and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Dundee. 

Away from the office, Dean plays the bagpipes for the City of Discovery Pipe Band and is secretary of the committee. He also volunteers with the Boys Brigade and teaches local children how to play the bagpipes.
