Thorntons’ joint managing partners Craig Nicol and Scott Milne were presented with the Managing Partner of the Year award - the first time the award been shared between two individuals in the 14 year history of the event.
The Managing Partner of the Year title is not a category firms can enter, instead it is based on entries from the awards as a whole that year, with Craig and Scott selected as winners by a judging panel.
Colin Graham, chairman at Thorntons, said: “This award is testament to the hard work and commitment of the firm and all of our team in recent years, with a huge congratulations to Craig and Scott for their superb leadership, which has been recognised in their Managing Partner of the Year award win.

Winners were announced at the 14th Annual Scott + Co Scottish Legal Awards Ceremony which took place on Thursday 30 March 2017 at The Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.
The Scottish Legal Awards aims to celebrate the legal industry in Scotland. This year, the list of categories was revamped and as a result seen the highest ever number of nominations.
Thorntons, which is headquartered in Dundee has 10 offices across Scotland, is one of the largest full service firms in the country. It was awarded the title of Scotland’s Best Employer in September 2016 and is one of the top 100 firms in the UK as listed by The Lawyer.
