As Covid-19 restrictions have eased, many organisations have progressed from fully working at home to welcoming employees back to the workplace on a hybrid basis.
Hybrid working has allowed employees to return to the workplace on a rotational basis over the course of the pandemic, whilst still maintaining the requirements of social distancing. However, now that the remaining legal restrictions have been lifted and despite many employees being able to go back to work in a pre-pandemic manner, many organisations are now considering implementing a permanent hybrid working pattern.
Employment Law Solicitor, Andrew Wallace hosted a short webinar and Q&A where he discussed the challenges of hybrid working and how organisations can adjust to the new post-pandemic world of work.
This webinar covered:
- The legal pitfalls of hybrid working
- Hybrid working policies - do you need one and what should they include?
- Consultation - how to reach an agreement with employees
- Flexible working requests - how do these work alongside hybrid working?
- What to do if it isn't working - setting expectations with employees and communicating the need for hybrid working to work for both the individual and the business
